This Third Saturday was the 4th anniversary of the AAGGKY. The meeting was held at the Hopewell Museum in Paris, Kentucky. The morning program was presented by Amy Madsen, who is a teacher of African-American studies at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. Ms. Madsen shared her experiences setting up and working with the class.
Our afternoon presenter was member Joyce Johnson, who told of her love of photography and how she has set up a page in Facebook to help others to display their pictures which are of unknown people hoping there would be others who could help identify them. Her page is "U I D (yoU IDentify local African American friends and family)."
